We’ve been searching for the perfect piece of content to start the HireHunt blog.
Anything else just won’t do.
Why? Because in the current digital terrain we’re not just competing with other recruitment sites. We’re competing with kitten gifs. With throwback photos of your childhood friends at the school cafeteria. With click-bait top tens, decapitation videos, political scandals, candy crush invites, wedding album rabbit holes, signs of the upcoming apocalypse and pop stars full frontal nudity.
But mainly, kitten gifs.
Meanwhile, World War 3 is happening. The global economy is having a seizure. The local everything is in a coma.
It seems to us like this might be a good time to fix the recruitment process.
“Technology is enabling the visionaries leading the new wave of companies to accelerate the rate of positive change in the world.”
“Adding fuel to this fire is a rapidly changing mindset entering the work force and a workplace that is accelerating as fast.”
“Digital natives are wired differently and they should not have to put up with the same hiring process as their grandfathers.”
“Finding the right people to come together, get excited and execute a vision is one of the slowest & most painful experiences visionary leaders face due to an outdated hiring process that works for 1984, not 2015.”
“We made HireHunt to galvanize the relationship between this emerging workforce and those visionaries pioneering the modern workplaces by allowing a more human, modern, exciting way to find each other.”
“HireHunt is a gamified talent platform where applicants answer questions, play games, complete missions & show their skills to discover opportunities and get Hunted by the employers looking for them.”
“Eh? What does recruitment have to do with any of this?” you ask.
Here’s how we see it. Technology is enabling the visionaries leading the new wave of companies to accelerate the rate of positive change in the world. The internet has evolved into the only real democracy of ideas, an instant global distribution platform & a powerful feedback engine for getting things right, fast. Adding fuel to this fire is a rapidly changing mindset entering the work force and a workplace that is accelerating as fast. In other words, the interesting is about to get incredible. If it weren’t for one massive speed bump. No matter the size of the company, finding the right people to come together, get excited and execute a vision is one of the slowest & most painful experiences visionary leaders face due to an outdated hiring process that works for 1984, not 2015.
On the other side of the fence, the emerging workforce, the digital natives, think in a new way. Put your opinions of man-buns and #nofilter duck-faced selfies to the side for a moment. These ‘humans 2.0’ don’t go online, they came into existence online. They never waited for anything, so something tells me they won’t wait for someone to create the world they want for them. They’ll do it themselves. Right after they take a photo of this burrito.
The point is, they are wired differently and they should not have to put up with the same hiring process as their grandfathers. #realtalk
We made HireHunt to galvanize the relationship between this emerging workforce and those visionaries pioneering the modern workplaces by allowing a more human, modern, exciting way to find each other, choose each other and build amazing things together.
This is HireHunt. This is what we believe in and this is who we are.
Here’s how it works. Job-seekers go through a series of Hunts where they play games, answer questions, complete missions, earn badges to showcase their personality, skill and talents in their selected field(s). The more they play, the more they become visible to all kinds of employers so they can get Hunted by their dream team.
Employers can rely on Hunting talent directly from Talent Pools in various fields or build their own Hunts to attract & identify their ideal candidates that would fit perfectly with their company culture.
Basic usage of the platform is 100% free for everyone. For life.
We’re just getting started, but we’re aiming to evolve into the smoothest hiring experience available. So we’ll be counting on your feedback to continue improving. We honour every single person who has contributed to our journey in HireHunt’s Hall of Epic Early Adopters. 🙌
Beside the platform, we have a lot to say about careers, emerging fields, cool places to work, the world of recruitment & the world in general. The HireHunt Blog is where we’ll be saying it. Don’t expect articles about the top 5 fonts to use in your CV, the top ten things to wear to second interviews, etc. We think there’s already enough of that out there. Also, we promise never to post stock photos of suited professionals with creepy smiles or that weird faceless 3D character that seems to be part of most recruitment posts for some reason.
We’re not here to add to the noise, we’re here to strike some chords.
We can’t think of a better place on Earth to launch this experiment than right here in Egypt. The craziest, most exciting place to be in the craziest, most exciting time in human history. Let’s do this.
Happy Hunting 🙂
The HireHunt Team
P.S. This article is also a Hunt. We’re looking for creative masterminds to contribute with all kinds of next-level content. If you’re digging our style, smelling what we’re cooking & interested to join the team then the first thing you need to do is grab the cafeteria and drop it into the economy. Go for it.
